![]() ![]() I have pulled enough hair out for one day.Apogee has held a lead in the digital audio conversion game for decades. As much as i like the portability of my macbook pro the screen is too small to work with and I want a better solution in my writing studio. I have looked high and low for a solution. However, it will never engage, just blink out on me. Sometimes I can see the option again, others not so. ![]() I go through the whole bootup sequence again. ![]() But before I can then load Reaper it just blanks out and disappears leaving no option to re click it back on. I then load Maestro and can see it there. When I look in my sound card it sometimes shows the Duet as an option. I have installed all the correct drivers for the Duet. I had been using an older Imac running Snow Leopard and had no issues with it as well, but I wanted to have two screens running and also a bit more ram so decided to get this Mac Pro. I recently purchased a Mac Pro 2007 with 10.75 Lion driving it. I have a 2012 Duet Firewire and have used it a fair bit with my macbook pro running Reaper and Reaper 64 with no issues what so ever. I have been out of the music scene for a few years and am getting back into it. Hi, I just joined this forum in my search to find an answer to this Duet problem. I will definitely give a call if the problems persist when the new cable arrives when it ends up to be working, there are several clicks. at times there is power for the duet(because there are lights), but my macbook doesnt detect it and no sound travels through (either all the lights are on or only the 'OUT' light is on)Īlso, I still hear a single 'click' from the duet when it's not working (with ONE or ALL lights on). while it was operating today I slightly adjusted the cable and it immediately turned off, but it's difficult to replicate the exact placement in order for it to function correctly. Is that normal for it to be wobbly? I purchased a new one from a different company and really hope this is a fix. they are easily wobbled and manipulated not like the breakout chain(which is screwed in) or how a headphone jack typically is. ![]() first of all, i have always noticed it is not secure into the duet or the macbook. with that said, I narrowed it down to possibly the firewire cable. the duet just started working again randomly. I actually got it "fixed", but on and off(rarely on, however). ![]()
